IVM Swiss behind the new Inpeco headquarters
A project of over 4,000 square metres for the Inpeco headquarters in Novazzano, Switzerland with desking and executive solutions, meeting areas, breakout areas and high-tech walls
An initiative encompassing more than 4,000 square metres to give heart and soul to the new headquarters of Inpeco, a global leader in automation for the pharmaceutical industry.
The Company exports its products and systems to more than 60 countries worldwide, employing more than 350 people in manufacturing facilities based in Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the United States.
The company went with IVM’s Made in Italy proposals for its new headquarters in Novazzano, Switzerland, through our IVM Swiss team in Switzerland.
The project involved a number of levels. The ground floor is mainly operational with a large showroom area for the pharmaceutical machines. Here, in addition to meeting operational needs, the furnishing solutions were tailored to take into account the mobility of agents, shared spaces and meeting areas.
The imposing central staircase leads to the second floor where other workstation furniture, the breakout area and executive furnishings have been organised and divided by custom glass walls integrated with writing boards.
The meeting areas are particularly versatile because the modular walls can be moved for flexible space management.
Most of the third floor is dedicated to the executive spaces, where cutting-edge solutions were designed for the electrochromic glass partitions with smart darkening systems to guarantee privacy.
In general, the whole project stands out for its size, for the dominant use of white – in line with the company’s core business – and for the sleek, bold lines combined with solutions that have been custom designed for the client. The issue of acoustics – given the size and features of the volumes – was particularly delicate. IVM tackled this with our sound absorbent panels specifically designed and installed to ensure adequate acoustic comfort.
We suggest using Google Maps to look at the building from above to see its extraordinary, distinctive “Y” shape.
