Work is not only an economic and social imperative, but an experience imperative”: these are the words of Cheryl Durst, the CEO of the International Interior Design Association, expressing a fundamental truth of workspace design.

2025 is seeing the ongoing evolution of the office, which is becoming the cornerstone of a form of positive cultural change and fostering a climate of “cultural optimism” – a collective perspective in which employees share faith in the future and believe in the potential of the company for growth and success. According to global research conducted by Gensler in 2024, the best-performing workplaces are those in which 94% of employees are free to choose their own working space within the office.

The trends for the new year are thus oriented towards strategies that promote a working experience focused on flexibility; in this light, modular furniture easily readapts, not only favouring a sense of stability, but also expressing resilience, as it permits the rapid reorganisation of space to meet current work-based demands.

Within the new work paradigm, the office is more than just a physical space; it is an ecosystem that fosters unity and productivity. Designing spaces that reflect corporate identity, while at the same time improving employee experience, is a winning strategy for the construction of a corporate culture founded on trust, well-being and innovation. Every choice – from furnishings to fittings, from lighting to sustainability – plays a role in creating an environment in which people feel constantly inspired. A working environment designed for “cultural optimism”.
