Stefano Bigi

“Design for me is an infinite, extreme search for the right balance between aesthetics and comfort, form and function. I try to create emotion, to invite people to sit or to use my furniture when they see it. My search goes towards those who disregard standards and uniformity, although with different needs and desires. I do not intend to create pieces for museum collections; my furniture is made to be lived and to live with its owners…”
Stefano Bigi

For IVM, Stefano Bigi has designed the FUNNY SAT – welcome&desk collection, the XCALL, XDESK smart solutions, and the XLOUNGE system.

Ennio Arosio

Ennio Arosio

A well-known designer on the Italian scene. Active since the 1970s in the furnishing field, he collaborates constantly with national and international brands. He designs for: Chateaux d’Ax, Misuraemme, IVM Office, MDF Italia, etc. For him, designing means starting from the interpretation of reality and the observation of needs and desires. Starting from suggestions and emotions. Ennio Arosio’s projects feature clear-cut designs with an eye for detail and the use of “true materials”. His design goes beyond geographic and cultural confines, which enable him, for example, to combine western pragmatism with eastern sensitivity. For IVM, Ennio Arosio designed the MASTER executive collection ……”Master has a rigorous design that conveys simple strength, an essential feature for a solid, personal, prestigious space. It only takes a minute to appreciate the emotions, because quality of image and eye for detail are immediate sensations. It has, in fact, provided a new way of interpreting executive space. And I have to stress the idea of the crystal vase included in the track as a “breakage” element. At that time, IVM understood (perhaps “felt”) the need to develop an aesthetic sense that it had and which it only needed to manage to express. Because I conceived that vase dedicating it to the sensitivity of all, in the sense that every person is to put their flower in it”… design is everywhere, in a stone, in a drop, in a smile, in a sound. It is the designer’s task to see it and interpret it”. Ennio Arosio

Emanuele Montanelli

Emanuele Montanelli

…”I first started aged eighteen, with my own study and without a teacher; my strength lies in direct experience. My first important experience dates to 1993, when I went to Moscow for a design competition. Development opportunities were so interesting that I stayed there for four years. There, I understood that it is essential to establish a good relationship with the private customer (be it a western businessman or Russian tycoon!) and to fully understand the needs before interpreting them. Having started early, I learnt to take a humble approach, with a “professional kindness” that I am still known for. In all relations, I naturally seek to go beyond the professional sphere, making them friendly and looking to compare notes and experiences. My “professional language” is also a gradual conquest, the result of a hard, but profitable path. It is a feature that I stand out for, in my micro cosmos, with respect to far larger realities, realities that are far more structured in the field of design. For me, professionalism means searching for constant growth. Thus I did: starting from some basic ideas connected with the approach to design, through to creating an efficient, streamlined structure to rationalise organisation and administration. Here too… I would thank a partner who gave me the right skills to prepare a “scientific” method and which today I duly put to good use… I love to captain a sailing boat because, as Nino_ the star of my novel Mareamoreamaro_ loves to repeat, at sea, even after the very worst storm, there is always a wonderfully sunny day”.    Emanuele Montanelli The collaboration between Emanuele Montanelli and IVM began in 1999 with the project to recover and transform the historic headquarters of industry in Lissone into the business showroom. The understanding between client and designer has been consolidated over the years, through the development of spaces for the Milan Eimu and Cologne Orgatec fairs, where the design and display language has always seen the product as the protagonist and the environment encompassing them in an elegant, discreet, reassuring casing. www.emanuelemontanelli.com

THE HISTORY OF IVM OFFICE IS ROOTED IN THE HISTORY OF MADE IN ITALY PRODUCTS.

MADE IN ITALY

Products made in italy

A history that recounts the brilliance and entrepreneurial skills of those who made Italian design a trademark and those who had the ability to innovate and expand internationally while remaining rooted to their territory and past. In fact, the Brianza-based company, a leader in the design, manufacture and supply of office furniture, is also a leader in the design of furnishings made in Italy, or better yet, made in Brianza.
From the first productions of home furniture, each production stage and cycle has always been managed inside the company’s factory of Lissone. From the design to the production, as well as the materials, IVM Office guarantees an all-Italian production chain. An added value and a guarantee that are also recognised abroad where IVM is today present in more than 20 countries.
Design, materials and office furniture, all united by one common denominator: they are all “Made In Italy,” and based on values such as design, aesthetics, functionality, excellence and durability. Always remaining faithful to its origins and especially to its mission, IVM continues to renew itself thanks to new technologies, creativity and knowledge of the industry worldwide.

Brianza

Brianza is the beating heart of "Made in Italy" furniture. Each town and city that belongs to it represents many small and large capitals of Italian excellence recognised worldwide for their high quality and superior design. Small and large worlds steeped in the past, from workshops and factories that, throughout the centuries, have become small and large companies famous all over the world. In fact, Brianza's furniture production has always been part of the territory's DNA. It is no accident that Brianza is the undisputed realm of Italy’s furniture manufacturers, home to about 2,200 companies.

PRODUCTION

IVM Office is one of the few office furniture companies in Italy whose production process takes place entirely in Italy. This ensures a truly customised service from the design to the production, because each request can be analysed and created on the spot. Being a manufacturer means having a comprehensive and cross-sectorial approach because we personally develop custom solutions that fit the needs of each customer. This gives us maximum flexibility and more possibilities for "on demand" customisation.

INNOVATION

Innovation has accompanied IVM Office since its birth. In fact, since 1948 the company has followed the common thread of innovation in every production process, from the idea to the actual production of the furniture item, passing through the choice of materials and technology. The personal experience and entrepreneurial skills of the founder and the collaboration with internationally renowned designers, have made IVM Office an innovator in the industry, anticipating new trends in office furniture, technologies, design and type of materials used.
